Dog & Cat Surgery Services

Our dog and cat surgical services are performed under the safest conditions with the most advanced surgical equipment. These include:

  • Spaying and neutering
  • Declawing
  • Exploratory surgery
  • Cystotomy
  • Tumor excision
  • Wound debridement & suturing
  • Hematoma repair
  • Dental extractions

Pet Laser Surgery

We offer laser surgery as an option for declawing, spaying, neutering, and other soft-tissue procedures. This involves the use of a highly focused laser beam to ‘cut’ the tissue via ablation (vaporizing). As incisions are being made, the laser beam seals off capillaries, nerve endings, and small blood vessels, resulting in a more efficient process for both veterinarian and patient. Laser surgery has many benefits, including:

  • Less pain
  • Less bleeding
  • Smaller risk of infection
  • Reduced swelling
  • Shorter recovery time

Dog & Cat Surgery Protocol

As a safety measure, pre-surgical bloodwork is recommended for pets up to 6 years old, and required for pets 6 years and older. All patients must fast for 12 hours prior to their surgery to prevent vomiting during or after their surgery. We always have one or two experienced technicians monitoring patients’ vitals while they’re under anesthesia to keep them comfortable. Our veterinarians perform all pet surgeries in the morning, and patients remain at our hospital until late afternoon to recover. When your pet is ready to go home, we’ll call you right away. We’ll go over home recovery instructions with you as soon as you arrive.
