Katherine Benton, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Katherine Benton is the proud owner and veterinarian of Charleston Heights Veterinary Clinic, where she has been caring for pets and their families since 2001. She earned her DVM from the University of Georgia in 1999 and finds the most rewarding part of her work in educating clients and helping them feel confident in providing the best possible care for their pets.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Benton enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with family. Her own furry family includes Smudge, a Frenchie; Wednesday, a Pit Bull; Fred, a Cairn Terrier; and two cats, Pipsqueak and Splat. She’s also a huge fan of Mars the Pygmy Hippo, and in 2026, she had the unforgettable opportunity to visit Tanganyika Wildlife Park, meet Mars Potato Jones, and learn more about the park’s conservation efforts.
